Time Flies

All of the sudden (while neglecting my blog) I'm 32 weeks pregnant!
Since last post i've been diagnosed with GD and the diet is bearable but the unexplained, uncontrollable fasting number is just frustrating.
Blam been very active in my tummy. He seems to like my right side the most as he's always hanging out in that area. Last week he got fond of kicking my right kidney and that hurts a lot. I can already tell he's a night owl since his activities are mostly at night. I hope and pray that he'll sleep at night when he comes because mommy is not a night person at all.
We are getting ready for him and so far have gotten some clothes (thanks to grandma Lam's shopping trips in Hong Kong), his strollers are set, his crib is bought but not put together yet (grandma Li is very superstitious and won't let daddy put it together until i'm in the hospital!!!) but we still have to buy his mattress. Now mommy and daddy just need to get their acts together and clear some space for Blam's stuff in the bedroom! The babyshower is going to be in 2 weeks and after that we'll go into full shopping mode to get everything ready for Blam. Did I mention Blam already have 2 pairs of Jordan sneakers already?
I can't wait to meet this little guy....

I had a dream last night and I had a girl with big pretty eyes but with daddy's haircut. How weird is that??? My baby girl was very sturday, not new-born like and she had the prettiest smile. I was mad that I woke up.

Blam is flattening my belly button!

I had a deep belly button and now it's flat!!! I really hope it doesn't pop....

First L&D experience

Well, i had my first L&D experience last Fiday for pre-term contractions and spotting. After 36 hours of bedrest, lucky i've been released from it and now i've been put on "limited activity" meaning i'm not to be on my feet for more then five minutes at a time. That kindda sucks cuz it takes me double the time to get ready for work in the morning and I can't take the train any more. My doc told me that i'm not to stress and i must take it easy unless I want to end up in bed on my back for the rest of the pregnancy and not leaving the house for months! I guess i'll have to be real good until then and do what is best for Blam. I've been talking to Blam to tell him to be good for mommy too! =D Lucky there's internet shopping!!

Blam is almost at 22 weeks and have gotten a lot more active. I feel him move around all the time and he doesn't like it if I lean froward when I sit...he tends to kick me hard cuz i'm squeezing my tummy and invading his space. Sometimes I do it deliberately to see if he's awake or not. Last night when I laid in bed he was superactive then I started to talk to him and told him to calm down and sleep cuz it was bed time..he calmed down and both baby and mommy were able to sleep. He's such a good baby =D

I think it's time for Daddy to place his hands on my belly so he can feel Blam's movements.

It's a BOY!!

I had my big ultra-sound this monday and got to find out blam's sex. At the beginning of the pregnancy I thought it was going to be a boy then later on when my belly started to round-up i thought it was going to be a girl. Now that it's confirmed at a little boy I kindda feel sad I don't get to pick out pretty dresses and cutesy outfits for a baby girl. Boy is good, easier! Daddy is thrilled that he has a new and upcoming basketball partner. :D

Week 17

Looking at the tickler, I'm almost 18 weeks! wow, time flies. Nothing much happened this week except i felt flutters in my tummy once while chatting on the computer with a friend the other night. I've noticed I'm waking up more at night especially early in the morning, and I've been thirsty a lot. May be my body is telling me to DRINK!

I think pregnancy dry eyes have caught up with me. I get uncomfortable wearing my contact lens for a long time. I'll just have to remember to take them off once I get home and change over to my glasses.

I'm getting shortless of breath from walking up 2 flights of stairs now...what happens when I get bigger??? Deep breaths!!

Oh, Blam got 5 lay-see from aunties at church for chinese new year.

Week 16

I've been good so far..just drinking lots of water and no sweets stuff...ok..may be a glass of lemonade over the pass weekend but that's what it! I think i felt blam the other day!! it felt like something swimming in water and was making air bubbles just to the left of my belly button then I felt it again like half hour later on the right side. don't know if it's really blam but I sure hope it was! xD

I've got my big ultra sound scheduled on the 22nd and hopefully I get find out blam's sex!!

15 weeks and 2 days

Blam is at 15 weeks and 2 days today. Look like blam gained a day since last doctor's appointment. Hubby asked how come everytime we go for appointment blam gains a day or two..the nurse said that's how it is measured by blam's growth but my due date will stay at July 22nd. It doesn't really make sense to me. We're hoping Blam will arrive on July 21st since the 21st is such a special day for us.... my birthday, our meetaversary, anniversary, and the date hubby proposed to me all falls on the 21st of the month and it'd be so cool to have Blam on the 21st too!!!

I'm in trouble with doc cuz i gained 5 lbs since my last appointment...no wonder my belly is sticking out. Doc said blam is probably weighing 5oz and the rest of my belly is gas...no wonder i've been so farty. I've been banned from anything sugary. I fessed up to drinking grape juice at work and now i'm in trouble with hubby cuz he never knew i've been doing that. I've been banned from lemonade too.. looks like it's just plain yucky water and me for now.

We heard blam's heartbeat for the first time and blam sounded way cute at 150bpm! Doc said blam sounded like girl and a very happy girl. Ok, i know she's good but can you really tell the sex of the baby by just listening?!?!?!?!

Week 14+

Little do I realize i'm at 14weeks plus! I have an OB appointment this Friday and I'm very happy that I'll probably get to see Blam again. I miss seeing my baby on the black and white monitor.... I've waited a whole month for the appointment!! From what i read, Blam is now more human-like and have started to look cute xD

We are so very lucky to know people that will give us furnitures and baby gears. Just today, hubby's co-worker gave us his baby changing station and from what he told me it's white and it's very heavy. I'm thinking..heavy probably means good quality?? I can't wait to get home and look at blam's very first piece of furniture! Yesterday a lady at church told us that we can have her crib, swing, bouncey chair thingy, high chair, toys for all stages, baby clothes, baby monitor, bottle warmer/sterilizer, everything that are practically new cuz her baby didn't use any of those. All she told us to buy were bottles, diapers and a stroller!! She told us the crib is cherry wood and it wouldn't match with the changing table..but WTH it's FREE!!! I can't believe how lucky we got with getting freebies from people!! she just saved us a whole bunch of money and blam's daddy might agree to buy blam that 2010 version of the stroller now!! LOL!!

Week 13

Woohoo!!! I made it!! I made it to 2nd trimester!!! Have I notice any difference?....Nope. I did notice my belly GREW all of the sudden!! The first time I noticed my belly was last Monday (after a weekend of Souplatation and all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ) I woke up Monday and my belly was like I've been soaked in miracle grow and was out there! I have no idea how the heck I got so big all of the sudden. The belly is sort of 'rounded-up' now and before pre-preggo when I was just being fat - I had 2 fat rolls separated by my waist when I sit...and now, being pregnant, the 2 fat rolls have developed into one big blob of round meat and it's sticking out. I know I'm going to get bigger which I am sure it will happen very soon. I was telling hubby when I get bigger he'll see my tummy come around the corner then he can start counting to 10 then he'll probably see my face at the count of 7 or 8...

Besides getting big this week I've started to look at baby gears and it's so overwhelming! I started looking at the bigger items like the crib, stroller, and car seat. Hubby asked me to make a spreadsheet at work on all the baby gears separating them by time frame we'll need to purchase and how many per item and the cost. That's like a hard project!! If I were to put a time frame on all the baby gear I'm just going to put ASAP on all the items. I really have no clue on when to buy things and all. All I know is I'm going to push a watermelon out of my virgina in July!

Week 12

I got sick! well..not bad but sick with lingering stuffy nose, cough and sometimes I would have dizzy spells and make me nauseous. I threw up for the first time since i've been preggo last saturday. Apparently Blam doesn't like one-day-old lo-mein and totally went into eject mode right after I ate the last bite. Blam was fine with that same lo-mein the day before. What a picky eater!

I've been having a lot of dreams and mostly of my daddy..I misses him especially with Blam coming along. :(
